2011 Gideon's Trumpet Award Recipient:

Paul Kane, Esq.

The 2011 Senior Partners for Justice Gideon's Trumpet award was presented to Paul Kane, Esq. for his outstanding pro bono contributions to Senior Partners and his steadfast commitment to access to justice for all.

Attorney Paul M. Kane has done more to foster the growth and success of Senior Partners for Justice than most people know. When Judge Ginsburg started SPJ, Paul gave Judge Ginsburg an office, helped to establish and funded the monthly SPJ luncheon series, taught the first SPJ family law training series, and served as a founding member of the SPJ Advisory Board. Without Paul’s ongoing generosity, there would be no SPJ monthly luncheons to create the sense of community and camaraderie that are hallmarks of SPJ. Paul’s generosity extends to the SPJ volunteers as well. Despite his busy practice, he takes the time to answer questions from volunteer attorneys in sticky family law pro bono cases. He is essentially a mentor-on-call.

A partner in the Boston law firm of McGrath & Kane, Paul is one of the preeminent family law attorneys in Massachusetts. He teaches various aspects of family law at Boston College Law School, Suffolk Law School, MCLE, the MA Bar Association, the Flaschner Institute, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Family Law Advocacy Institute where he has also served in numerous leadership positions. Not surprisingly, Paul has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America since 1989 and a Superlawyer since 2004. Paul served in the United States Navy from 1964-1967 and is a graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School.

Congratulations to Attorney Paul Kane!
